This fall (2024), the Beloved Community (Baltimore) Affinity Working Group met on several occasions to continue to deepen relationships and learning. Highlights were a lunch gathering, book study, and discussion at Busboys and Poets in Columbia, Maryland, a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC, and an in-person/virtual lunch and discussion on community-building with Dr. Lisa Hess (United Theological Seminary) and Dr. Kevin Slayton (Lancaster Theological Seminary). We continue to explore ways to collaborate and build the Beloved Community in our contexts.
